2. Premessa

This information is provided pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), of the art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (“Privacy Code”) as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018, and in compliance with the Guidelines of the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data regarding cookies and other tracking tools (Provision of 10 June 2021).

The purpose of this information is to describe in a clear and transparent way the types of cookies used on the Site, the purposes for which they are installed, the ways in which the user can give, modify or withdraw their consent.

This Cookie Policy constitutes an integral part of the Privacy Policy published on the Site, to which reference should be made for any information relating to the processing of personal data.

3. What are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited send to the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored to be re-transmitted to the same sites on subsequent visits. Cookies are used for various purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific user configurations, storing preferences, analyzing the use of services and content, performing statistical measurements, showing targeted advertising.

In addition to cookies, other tracking technologies similar to them are also used (web beacons, pixels, local storage, tags and identifiers) which, for the purposes of this information, are treated in a uniform manner and referred to the regulation of cookies.

3.1 First-party and third-party cookies

Based on the entity that installs them, a distinction is made between first-party cookies, installed directly by the manager of the site visited by the user, and third-party cookies, installed by parties other than the site manager (for example providers of statistical analysis services, social networks, advertising platforms, payment processors). For third-party cookies, the third-party supplier operates as an independent Data Controller.

3.2 Session cookies and persistent cookies

Based on their duration, a distinction is made between session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which remain stored on the user's device for a pre-established period of time or until they are manually deleted.

4. Categories of Cookies Used on the Site

In accordance with the indications of the Privacy Guarantor, the cookies used on the Site are classified into the following categories.

4.1 Technical Cookies (essential)

Technical cookies are strictly necessary for the correct functioning of the Site or to allow the user to use the requested contents and services, including the registration, authentication, cart management and booking finalization functions. Pursuant to art. 122 of the Privacy Code, the installation of these cookies does not require the user's prior consent.

This category includes navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the Site (authentication, access to reserved areas, management of the booking session); functional cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to some selected criteria (for example the language) in order to improve the service provided; security cookies, which guarantee security in authentication areas and prevent cyber attacks (including cookies installed by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and fraud); consent management cookies, which store the user's choices regarding cookies pursuant to art. 7 GDPR; first-party analytical cookies, if configured to collect data exclusively in aggregate form, with IP anonymization and without cross-referencing with other data or transmission to third parties, are assimilated to technical cookies.

By way of example, the following technical cookies may be installed on the Site:

  • PHPSESSID — session cookie which maintains the user's session while browsing the Site; duration: the browsing session only.
  • wordpress_logged_in_{hash} — technical WordPress cookie that keeps the registered user's authentication session active; duration: 14 days.
  • wordpress_sec_{hash} — WordPress technical cookie which guarantees the security of the authenticated session; duration: 14 days.
  • wordpress_test_cookie — WordPress technical cookie which verifies the browser's cookie support; duration: the browsing session only.
  • wp-settings-{user_id} — technical WordPress cookie that stores user interface preferences; duration: twelve months.
  • wp-settings-time-{user_id} — technical WordPress cookie that stores the timestamp of user interface preferences; duration: twelve months.
  • elementor — technical cookie necessary for the correct functioning of the Elementor page builder; duration: persistent until deleted.
  • woocommerce_cart_hash — technical cookie (if an e-commerce platform is active) which stores an identifier of the user's cart; duration: the browsing session only.
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart — technical cookie that stores the number of items in the user's cart; duration: the browsing session only.
  • wp_woocommerce_session_{hash} — technical cookie that stores the identifier of the user's purchase/booking session; duration: 48 hours.
  • _GRECAPTCHA — Google reCAPTCHA technical cookie which allows us to distinguish real users from bots and protect the Site from fraudulent activities; duration: six months.
  • cmplz_consented_services — consent management cookie which stores the services for which the user has given consent; duration: three hundred and sixty-five days.
  • cmplz_policy_id — consent management cookie which stores the identifier of the active policy at the time of expression of consent; duration: three hundred and sixty-five days.
  • cmplz_marketing — consent management cookie which stores the user's choice of marketing cookies; duration: three hundred and sixty-five days.
  • cmplz_statistics — consent management cookie which stores the user's choice of statistical cookies; duration: three hundred and sixty-five days.
  • cmplz_preferences — consent management cookie which stores the user's choice of preference cookies; duration: three hundred and sixty-five days.
  • cmplz_functional — consent management cookie which stores the user's choice of functional cookies; duration: three hundred and sixty-five days.

It should be noted that some of the cookies indicated above may not actually be present if the related functions are not active on the Site. The list is an example and illustrates the cookies typically used by a WordPress platform equipped with a booking and consent management system.

4.2 Statistical / Analytical Cookies (third parties)

They are cookies used to collect information, in aggregate or individual form, on the number of users and how they visit the Site, in order to develop usage statistics and improve the service. When installed by third parties or not anonymized, they require the user's prior consent.

By way of example, if activated and with prior consent, the following statistical cookies may be installed on the Site:

  • _ga_{ID} — Google Analytics 4 – stores session state and property identifier; duration: two years.
  • _gid — Google Analytics – distinguishes users for daily analyses; duration: twenty-four hours.
  • _gat — Google Analytics – limits the frequency of requests to the server (rate limiting); duration: one minute.
  • _gat_gtag_{ID} — Google Analytics – limits the frequency of requests for a specific property; duration: one minute.
  • _clck — Microsoft Clarity – user identifier for behavioral analysis; duration: one year.
  • _clsk — Microsoft Clarity – stores the user's current session; duration: one day.
  • MUID — Microsoft – unique user identifier across Microsoft services; duration: one year.
  • _hjid — Hotjar – unique user identifier; duration: one year.
  • _hjSessionUser_{ID} — Hotjar – persistence of user identifier between sessions; duration: one year.
  • _hjSession_{ID} — Hotjar – stores the current session; duration: thirty minutes.
  • _hjFirstSeen — Hotjar – identifies the first session of a new user; duration: the browsing session only.

4.3 Profiling and Marketing Cookies (third parties)

They are cookies used to create profiles relating to the user in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed during navigation. Their installation always requires the user's prior consent, pursuant to art. 122 of the Privacy Code and art. 6, par. 1, letter. a) GDPR.

By way of example, if activated and with prior consent, the following profiling cookies may be installed on the Site:

  • _fbp — Meta (Facebook) Pixel – browser identifier for conversion measurement and remarketing on Facebook and Instagram; duration: three months.
  • fr — Meta (Facebook) – advertising targeting cookie; duration: three months.
  • _fbc — Meta (Facebook) – advertising click identifier; duration: three months.
  • IDE — Google DoubleClick – measurement of conversions and display of personalized ads; duration: one year.
  • NID — Google – stores user preferences and shows personalized ads; duration: six months.
  • test_cookie — Google DoubleClick – checks whether the browser supports cookies; duration: fifteen minutes.
  • _gcl_au — Google AdSense – measures the effectiveness of advertisements; duration: three months.
  • ANID — Google – cookie used to personalize ads; duration: thirteen months.
  • VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE — YouTube – estimate of user bandwidth; duration: six months.
  • YSC — YouTube – viewing statistics of embedded videos; duration: the browsing session only.
  • PREF — YouTube – stores user preferences for video playback; duration: eight months.

4.4 Preference Cookies

Preference cookies allow the Site to remember the user's choices, such as the selected language, currency, region or text size, in order to provide a more personalized browsing experience. They can be assimilated to technical cookies when essential for the use of the requested service, or require consent in other cases.

4.5 Cookies installed by Google Maps

The Site uses Google Maps to display interactive maps, the location of the operational headquarters and points of interest on the itineraries. The integration of Google Maps involves the installation of third-party cookies (managed by Google Ireland Limited) and the transmission of the user's IP address to Google servers. Viewing interactive maps requires user consent.

5. Expression and Revocation of Consent

5.1 Cookie banners

Upon first access to the Site, the user is presented with a banner compliant with the indications of the Privacy Guarantor which allows you to accept all cookies via the appropriate "Accept" button; refuse all non-technical cookies using the appropriate "Deny" or "Reject" button, which has the same graphic visibility as the acceptance button; customize your preferences via the “View preferences” or “Manage options” panel, being able to granularly select the categories of cookies to accept; or close the banner without giving consent, without prejudice to the installation of only technical cookies.

The consent given is stored for twelve months, after which the banner will be proposed again, unless significant changes are made to this information or to the services installed which require early re-presentation.

5.2 Modifica delle preferenze

The user can at any time modify or revoke the consent given by accessing the "Manage consent" panel available on the Site, generally visible as an icon or link at the bottom left or right of all pages, or via the "Manage consent" link in the footer.

The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before the revocation.

For profiling cookies installed by third parties, the user can also use global opt-out tools that allow you to refuse tracking for advertising purposes by numerous companies simultaneously. 8. Transfer of Data to Third Countries

The installation of third-party cookies listed in this information may result in the transfer of personal data to non-EU countries, in particular to the United States of America. These transfers take place in compliance with articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR and are based, alternatively, on the Adequacy Decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023 (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) for suppliers who have joined it; on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission with Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914; as well as on the adoption of additional security measures, where necessary, as required by the recommendations of the European Data Protection Board.

9. Rights of the Data Subject

In relation to the processing of personal data collected through cookies, the interested party can exercise the rights provided for by articles 15-22 of the GDPR at any time. In particular, you have the right to access your personal data; right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data; right to erasure of data, also known as the “right to be forgotten”; right to limit processing in the cases provided for by law; right to data portability; right to object to processing based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller; right to revoke the consent given at any time; right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data.

10. Changes to the Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy may be subject to change over time, also as a result of the introduction of new services or regulatory changes. The updated version will always be available on the Site, indicating the date of the last update.

In the event of significant changes, in particular relating to the introduction of new tracking technologies or new processing purposes, the cookie banner will be proposed again and the user will be asked to renew their consent.
