Kayak & Snorkeling

This experience was born from a simple idea: why choose between sailing and diving, when you can do both?

The Kayak & Snorkeling Experience combines the magic of paddling along the cliffs of the Baia dell’Oro with the emotion of exploring the Mediterranean seabed in a unique cove where underwater life is surprisingly rich.

We start from the base of Stai Fuori with the usual thorough briefing. The guide — GAE certified and kayak instructor — prepares the group for both sailing and snorkeling. The equipment is all included: professional kayak, paddle, life jacket, mask, snorkel and the famous snorkie talkie, an underwater communication system that allows the guide to tell what is observed underwater in real time.

The first part is dedicated to navigation. You paddle along the rocky coast, discovering corners invisible from the mainland. Every curve of the coast reveals something new: a semi-submerged cave, a natural arch in the rock, the view of gulfs and headlands.

Then comes the time for snorkeling. In a cove protected from the wave motion, you immerse yourself in a shallow but very rich seabed. Posidonia oceanica, pavonine damsels, sea bream, starfish: a Mediterranean ecosystem which here, in the Special Area of Conservation, is still intact and healthy.

The guide accompanies the snorkeling session with engaging educational explanations, making it both an exciting and informative experience.
