SEA TRAIL – “La Baia dell’Oro & Punta Manara Sea Experience ”

We start from the sea, but without rushing. Before actually entering the water there is always a moment to understand how to move, how to paddle, how to read what is happening around. Nothing complicated, just enough to feel at ease straight away.

The first strokes are calm, in the Baia delle Favole. The water is calm, you get into a rhythm, and in a few minutes you completely forget about the land. Then you enter the Baia del Silenzio, which immediately changes the atmosphere. It is more intimate, more intimate, and it is natural to stop for a moment, look around, understand where you are.

Once past the bay, you begin to coast the Punta Manara peninsula. Here the landscape changes continuously: the cliffs become more alive, the colors brighten, small caves and stretches of rock appear that plunge directly into the sea. In some places the water becomes so clear that it seems unreal.

Below Punta Manara we stop. It is one of the richest areas of life on the Riviera, and all you need is a mask and snorkel to notice it immediately. Between the seagrass and the rocks you can see fish, sea urchins and starfish. It's a simple moment, but it's the one that stays the most.

Another, more silent, part of the experience also comes in here. We talk about the sea, about balance, about what is underneath and which is often not seen. It's not a lesson, it's more a way to look at things a little more carefully.

The return goes quickly. You pass between the two bays again, with a view that is completely different from the outside, and you go back with the sensation of having seen Sestri from another point of view.

It is an experience that brings together many things, without forcing them. And that's exactly why it works.
